La Paz

Just a very very quick post to say that yesterday we arrived in the city of La Paz, Bolivia. Initial impressions are that it seems very buzzy, fun and more developed than I expected.

More information coming tomorrow, but my eyes are struggling to stay open. There's also a few new photo's uploaded!

Speak soon, James

Hey both, hope you're ok with the altitude in La Paz. The picture of the little girl holding a kitten is the sort of pic' you see being entered into a photo competition, it's lovely! Snow on the way here today. Get some sleep, hope to speak to you soon. Love. Dad

Oh my God! I am glad I didn't know about the bike ride before you did it. Hope you have recovered from it now and are hopefully back on flat land in one piece! The area looks amazing though. It is freezing, snowing here. I didn't get home from work till 9pm as my battery (on the car) was flat and had to wait for the RAC. It has taken me till now to thaw out. Hope to talk to you soon. Love Mum & Dad xx

I have read up a bit on this death road and realise the significance of the pictures of the crucifix. They are not there as part of the scenery as I first thought. I also read it is not advisable to do the bike ride between Dec 10 - March as it is the rainy season and dangerous!!! We have Lily Saturday and probrably Sunday as Claire-Louise is going to her work do. So hope we can speak to you sometime over the weekend if you are available and able to get a connection. Love Mum, Dad and Natalie (she is home for Christmas). xxx

Yes, the favourite daughter has returned home!! You two, I am NOT loving how scary some of that bike ride looks! I know I would have loved doing it though, so I dont blame you. Miranda, I see you've opted for a centre parting....brave. Muahahaha.
Hope you're both doing ok. The camera was a great buy, some of the pics are making me quite annoyed with how good they are!
I got home today and theres no tree, no decorations, no bloody anything. Depressing as hell, so you're missing nothing. HMPH!

Take care pleeeeease. Byeee xx Noodle xx
