Diver James

Just a quick post to say I'm now a qualified diver, yey! Had some great dives today over on Phi Phi (Koh Bida), I've been lucky enough in the last two days to see Black Tip Reef Sharks, Kuhl Stingrays, Pharaoh Cuttlefish, Seahorses, Trivally... actually hundred's of species of marine life.

Back to our plans, well, we've just booked to go to Koh Tao (Turtle Island) on the East side of Thailand, the South China Sea. There I'll hopefully get a chance to log my 5th dive and Miranda will get the chance to do some apparently excellent snorkeling. From there, we really need to get a move on and head up towards Bangkok, preparing for our departure for Cambodia - curiously, having arrived on a boat from Langkawi, you only get a 15 day entry to Thailand, instead of the normal 30 day via an airport, though you can come back in and get it re-stamped if you can be bothered, or pay.

Bye for now!

Muchos congrats on your diver status James! Photo's are awesome as per. Well you two. I'm pretty sure now that when I graduate I'm going to move home for a year and work my little arse off, then bugger off travelling. May have yourselves to blame slightly for that one! Haven't told Mum yet, so if you're reading this Mother...surprise!!xx

It's definitely worth it Noodle but you really are going to have to work like a dog for a year because it's not cheap, let me tell you. James is off doing his night dive as part of his advanced course (when will it end...dive master?) and i'm just about to go to the bar and have another Margherita...I know it's a Wednesday and I know it's a hard life!!! Well done James! Welcome to the Big Blue! Expensive hobby though. I've just spent a couple of days at the B.D.A, a lot of your friends there have sent their best wishes. As Marion has said - a bit more sun here of late, but still really cold. So enjoy that sun both of you. Take care. Dad

Thanks all for the well wishes!

Glad the BDA were still accommodating Dad, all went ok?

Read the dog comments with a smile, I can only imagine what a torrid life the poor thing may have ahead of itself. Is it a puppy, or a rescue dog?

Speak soon!
