Journey to Iguazu

Hello and welcome to my first post. It's Saturday 31st October and we're currently 13.5 hours into our 17 hr bus journey. We've woken up to another glorious morning in Argentina. Now I know what you're thinking, the bus sounds HIDEOUS but this is no ordinary bus. Think closer to Business Class on a plane rather than the school trip to Germany!

On rather interesting discovery is that if you sit for this long without really moving, your feet swell up like a couple of balloons (very attractive I'm sure you'll agree. Apologies for the photo but seeing is believing).

(this one's for you Zoe!)

Today we're heading to see one of the top ten wonders of the world; Iguazu Falls. It's 24 stories high and 2.2 miles wide. It spans Brazil and Argentina, we're off to experience it from the Argentina side today and if we have time Brazil tomorow. It's set right in the heart of a big national park so there's plenty of other stuff to see and do there other than the Falls. If you're really 'lucky' you can come face to face with a wild big cat. Their advice is to try and seem as big and confident as you can and to stay calm. I'm fairly sure that's easier said than done.

More to come later...

What's the creature in the pic? Is it a Sloth? Weird feet! Trip sounds great and Iguazu is one of 'those' places [like the Pyraminds] that you've just GOT to see. Hope it's as good as it looks. Halloween here....fog, murk, brrrr....swap you! Take care both. Ps. Best wishes from Nanna and Pops. Helen. Becky. Mona and Antonio.

Guess we get our feet from the Honan side - mine look worse than that and that's without a 13.5 hr bus journey!
Glad you're ok and hope Iguazu is everything you wish for and more.
Take care and can't wait to read your next instalment xxx

Hi Both. Didn't know I could post comments, Robert told me. We are keeping in touch and exchanging news. You are supposed to text on a Sunday! Telling off over. Hope you had a great time at the falls. Where next? Lily sends her love. Claire Louise has been down to Bristol and been on a zombie walk (see Facebook). Dad and I went out for a lovely meal at the new Italian in Hinckley. Martina is back in UK!. All our love Mum & Dad.xxxxx

Hi you two, sounds like your having a great time. You got out the country just in time, gales on the way!
The falls sound fab, I googled them and both me and Si are so jealous now! If we took Michael he would probably try to jump off them, you should have seen him in the swimming pool today! No fear Bowater!
Keep safe and are you sure all that cheap steak is beef? Si is convinced your Spanish is rubbish and really your eating goat or something!

Love
Em and Si
